COMMON QUESTIONS

Will I see Dr Nikkhah at my consultation?
Yes, all consultations are carried out by Dr Nikkhah personally. The only time you would be seen by one of his specialist nurses is for pre-admission testing (if necessary) or postoperative change of dressings.

How long will my appointment last?
We usually allocate 30 minutes for an initial consultation. However, please be aware that Mr Nikkhah does believe in giving his patients the time they need, and this sometimes results in an appointment taking a little longer than predicted.

Will I need another consultation before surgery?
In some instances a second preoperative consultation is necessary to ensure that you are fully informed of all aspects of your surgery and postoperative care, and for a final surgical plan to be made. It also gives you the chance to ask any further questions you may have prior to surgery.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you into the consultation.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
If you have private medical insurance it may be necessary to have a GP referral letter under the terms of your policy. Self pay patients do not always require a GP referral letter.
